07.03.11 We are back!

The last year has not been uneventful in our personal lives but there's been little to report in the world of Instant Species... well there has been nothing particularly news worthy.

We have spent most of the last year writing and recording the new album which is almost finished. It's still unamed and of the 13 tracks we've recorded we can't say for definate which will be on the album BUT what we can say is that all the songs are sounding ace and we are very pleased so far. At the minute Bob's dad is scoring some brass for 6 of the songs and with any luck soon we will be bringing together a motley crue of brass musicians featuring amongst others the Morricone bros of The Scaramanga Six.

We hope you like this new website. It's a lean, mean, simplified link machine and will point you in the direction of us all over t'internet. For things like images we suggest you check out Facebook; Bob (and sometimes the rest of us) are now Tweeting to our eternal shame; Plus Youtube has a collection of our videos where you can feast your eyes on our near naked torso's amongst other things.

We will book in some gigs soon but there is the small matter of another baby and a wedding yet to interrupt our rock and roll ambitions. We've also started to write the next set of songs after this lot that are not out yet... which is confusing us more than anyone.

Right that seems like a suitably naff brain dump for now - hopefully your thirst for news has been quenched.
